Also known as the "Minimal Access Cranial Suspension Lift" or "MACS Lift"

The results of the short scar Face and Neck Lift are excellent, natural looking and comparable to results from a full Face and Neck Lift, but far more cost effective. The technique is a significant advancement over the conventional face lift as it involves relatively little undermining and consequently affords a quicker recovery. The Short Scar Face and Neck Lift may be extended to improve the mid face and malar (cheek) area where other Face and Neck Lift techniques fall short. It is particularly effective for the younger patient with a sagging mid face, who wants to stay ahead of the aging process.

It is frequently performed in conjunction with liposuction to the neck to remove any excess fat located there.

The post operative swelling and edema is much less compared to regular face lifts and so recovery is quicker - 1 to 2 weeks compared to 3 to 4 weeks for a full face and neck lift.

Depending on the elasticity of your skin, diet and sun exposure, your Short Scar Face and Neck lift should last for for 5 to 7 years or longer.
