Kate ImpastatoKate Impastato, MD is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who treats patients of all ages. She grew up in a small town in coastal Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

At LSU, she lettered for four years for the Lady Tiger cross country and Track & Field teams. Her LSU bio notes she was one of the best distance runners in program history in the 3,000 meter-steeplechase as well as the 3,000 & 5,000 meter races.

She attended Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans and graduated in 2014 where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for distinguished academic achievement.

Dr. Kate then trained at the University of Washington in Seattle, one of the top 3 plastic surgery residencies in the country. There she completed her six-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency in 2020 under the guidance of world-renowned leaders in all aspects of the vast field of plastic surgery.

Prior to joining Salmon Creek Plastic Surgery, Dr. Kate was an Assistant Professor at Marshall University where she further mastered the art of plastic and reconstructive surgery, while providing care in an underserved area. She has a special interest in breast and body contouring, facelift, otoplasty, as well as skin cancer care.

As a mother and runner, she appreciates the changes bodies can go through secondary to childbirth, sun exposure, or other life experiences. Therefore, she focuses on restoring her patient’s confidence by helping each one to become the best version of themself. She especially loves performing mommy makeovers and facelifts because of the impact it has on her patients. She is meticulous, open-minded, and focused on understanding her patient’s goals in order to help them achieve them. She ensures her patients are well informed and prepared for their surgery as well as their recovery.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kate, her husband, and two children love the outdoors and can be found running, biking, hiking, skiing or even dancing.
